Art of Survival

Here's a piece that I did for a couple of fellas that I used to work with, Craig Schriver and Keith Fukumoto, to raise money for their Relay for Life team.

Just Fiddlin'

This is just a little doodle I blasted out I'm movin' so I've been kinda busy, so it's just a sketch I'll hopefully get 'round to putting up some more refined stuff with backgrounds and the like, I'm also going to take a rip at a few illustrations I've had in mind. Hope y'all dig.

Here it be folks, I completed the cover for a new comic book project a friend and I are going to try to get started. Let me know what you think. The title is just a place holder I didn't want to give too much away and I think our title kinda gives a little too much info as to the direction the story is going to go in. I hope you dig it, I pencilled, inked and coloured it so I would really appreciate your opinions. Oh and excuse the big copyright water mark, I am becoming increasingly paranoid in my old age, so I'm gonna start being a lot more careful with stuff like this. Well all that aside, thanks for the look.

Cheers my Dears,

Devin

Gloomy Gus

This character is a tribute to customer service folks everywhere who enjoy taking their shitty day out on all of us. I have another comic page on the way, the next one will be inked and coloured. I just doodled this guy to keep my chops up and keep my throngs of fans sated until my next comic post. Thanks for lookin' leave comments if you like the stuff if not leave a comment anyway I always enjoy a little harassment.

So Many Pet Projects

This is a screen shot from the intro of a little short I've been fiddling around with for a while now. It's not much, just a proof of concept kinda thing but I wanted to put it up anyway.

Last One

Yarrgh this be me last comic page for a little package I'm putting together, send me your criticisms.

I love you bye!

Almost Did

This is the second to last sample page I'm doing for an idea that a friend of mine is writing for me, after I get the next one finished I may finally be able to get my girlfriend to ink the poop out of 'em. Then it's on to another idea from another friend, man these pet projects tend to pile up if you procrastinate. As usual check it out let me in on any criticisms you may have, I'm always looking for feedback y'alls.

Sincerely,

Pipplestink Von Beeftickets III + 1= Awesome !!

S'more Pages

Here's a bit more comic stuff, check it out.

Doodle Bus

So I've recently taken to drawing with a ball point pen on my way home from work on the bus, these are a few brain farts that I can credit to public transit. All of these were done in pen, with the exception of the dude at the top right and the fella in the middle at the bottom. So enjoy tell me what y'alls think.

Some Shhhhhtuff

Howdy folks, I haven't posted anything in a while and so I don't sink back into the habit of not posting anything for months; I'm dumping a few pen doodles I did on the bus and at work while my computer is busy doing it's thing.

The Cover

This is my comic cover I'm having a little trouble getting clean scans cos I'm using an H pencil so these pages will be easier to ink, aside from that however critique away, I always love to hear what people think even if they just want to tell me off. So check it out and leave me some feedback.

Farewell my pretties,

Devin

More Pencils

That's right I have finally gotten around to penciling a second page, hopefully there are more on the way. Let me know what you think.

The Cap'n and Bubs

I had intended on putting this up with the previous post but I forgot.

Up "DATE ME!!!"

AHOY! Here's a bunch of sketches that I did in my first couple of weeks in Ottawa and I'm finally getting around to posting em, I'm looking to do more design stuff so I think I'm probably going to try to do a few turnarounds and stuff like that but in the mean time let me know what you think.

Kisses,

D

Smokes

So as some folks already know I quit smoking in Sept. of 09 and haven't touched a tobacco product since that time. Unlike most people who quit, however, I love to smoke, which was kinda the idea behind this image. This is my tribute to tobacco and hunky leather clad smokers everywhere.

Brand new Ottawad

Here it is, the first post of 2010. It's hard to believe it took until the end of January, but with the move to Ottawa it's been a little hard to fit in the doodles. So now I'm just easing myself back into it with this one I figgered I'd work on my digital colourating skizzles ( man I can really barf out a sentence). Hope you like, I'll probably get into posting more regularly when we get settled.

Okay I love you buh bye!!!

Website

Howdy Doody dudes and dudettes I've updated my website, if you want to check it out go to www.animationnb.com/07/dtaylor. Also I have to apologize for the load time I'm working on an action plan to remedy the situation, so check it out and let me know what you think.

Demo Reel

So, I got the go ahead to post my stuff including my new demo reel and I did so here it is hope y'alls like it.

COMIC BOOKS GO!!!

Since I'm updating things I figgered I may as well put this up, it's my lone comic book page. Portfolio stuff has taken priority over the comic stuff for the last little while but not for long, I shall soon get back to business on my comic book stuffs. Love Ya

Brand Spankin New Portfolio

Greetings, that's right it's a new post. I haven't put much up in a while mostly because the only things I have been working on are portfolio related and some of it I can't put up yet like my new demo reel for instance. However I do have a few pages that I can post without getting smacked down by the law. I'll probably post more soon because stuff like my life drawing still needs some tweaking but as soon as it's ready I'll put it up too. Also there are some repeats here so there's gonna be some stuff you've seen before please forgive me.

Hey look what I found

Sorry. Nuff said.

NEW POST IN YO FACE!!!

Hey there blog what's new... This is new. 'Bout damn time too. I doodled this for my girlfriend's birthday and I thought it was kinda cool so I decided to post it. So there's nothing you can do about it HA!

I`m Bored of being Bored

So yeah we was bored the other day and Cindy was like," yo." To which I replied ," I'm bored." She suggested that we each take a lil dollar store canvas and paint something as it's been a while since either of us has painted anything. This is the mutant love child that followed. Ever since I've really been considering doing a real painting and who knows maybe when I find the time I'll take a rip at it. OKAY... I LOVE YOU...BYE BYE!
